Registration terms and conditions

Please read these terms and conditions. Registration for one of our courses implies acceptance of these conditions. In case of dispute, only the courts of Nantes are competent.
There are no classes on French public holidays. In group, these lessons are not retrieved. In May, public holiday classes are neither insured nor charged for weekly, monthly and quarterly packages.
Group classes are accessible from 16 years old. Minors staying or private lessons: parental authorization is required for the follow-up of the courses.

Registration

Registration can be done online or on-site. Registration fees are set at 65 euros. They include your French book, your placement test and one month free trial to our online self-study solution. They are valid for one year from the date of your first course.

The registration period includes consecutive weeks. In case of long-term absence, make two separate entries.

Any complete non-beginner learner must pass a level test before entering the training.

Registration is nominative and not transferable to another person

The reservation of your course will be effective upon receipt of full payment of the course and registration fees. Upon request, you will receive a certificate of registration necessary for your visa application

PAYMENT

Payments by credit card online or bank transfer are accepted. Payments by check are no longer accepted as of January 1, 2019.

All bank charges are the responsibility of the student.

Any invoice not paid by the payment deadline will give rise to a lump sum compensation for recovery costs of €40 ( Article L 441-3 of the Commercial Code of the law of March 22, 2012).

Modification of reservation, cancellation, postponement

If you need to cancel/modify/postpone your reservation, you must notify the Institut Francophonie by email BEFORE your scheduled arrival date.

Cancellation/modification/postponement 15 days or more, before your arrival: may entitle you to a credit. However, 100€ will be retained.

Cancellation/modification/postponement less than 15 days before your arrival: may entitle you to a credit. However, 200€ will be retained.

Cancellation/modification/report from the Friday before your arrival or after the scheduled date of arrival: no refund or credit will be granted.

For student visa applications, the 500€ confirmation deposit paid in pre-registration is not refundable in case of visa refusal. You can apply for a visa again, your deposit will be reusable for one year, from the date of sending your certificate of registration by Institut Francophonie.

In case of early departure, no refund can be granted for any reason.

The institute has the right to modify or close a course in which the number of students is insufficient (6 people minimum). In this case, the fees will be fully reimbursed.

Excluding package registration, à la carte, the price of one hour of group lessons is 14 €.

Insurance

Institut Francophonie or its employees will not be held responsible for any loss, theft, damage or injury caused during a course. Students must take out, in France or in their home country, insurance covering illness, loss of money, valuables or luggage, theft, interruption of internship for personal or health reasons, and civil liability.

Courses

Attendance in class is mandatory. A certificate of attendance and/or level will be issued upon request, except for trainees with an absence rate greater than 10%.

In case of impossibility to attend a course, announce and justify this absence from the previous course, call 02.53.78.26.44 or send an email to maude.saleiro@francophonie-nantes.fr BEFORE the course.

Private classes : any lesson not canceled 24 hours in advance will be charged.

Late arrival in class : from a 15 minutes late, it is not possible to join the course. The student will be considered absent.

Minimum group sizes: during the year, Institut Francophonie reserves the right to close a group if the minimum number (6 students) is not reached, and/or to modify the days and times of the courses.
Intensive course (15H/week), the modifications will be :
- 5 students in the group : lessons of 2H30 instead of 3H
– 3 or 4 students in the group: over 2 HOURS instead of 3 HOURS
- less than 3 students in the group : group clsing and refund.

Récupération des cours manqués : les cours manqués ne peuvent en aucun cas être remboursés. Ils peuvent être récupérés dans 3 cas :

Child sickness : under presentation of the medical document (and a note from the host family for Au pairs)
Maladie : fournir un justificatif médical.
Rendez-vous administratif à date imposée : fournir un justificatif écrit.

School holidays :

French 4H and 7H/ week : no lessons during the school holidays.
Formula 9 and 15H/week: no classes only during the first week of school holidays

Claims

Any claim must be made and sent to the directorate by email (by maude.saleiro@francophonie-nantes.fr) and it will be processed within 48 hours.

In the event of a breach of these terms and conditions, Institut Francophonie reserves the right to interrupt a student course without financial compensation.
